Will the last prophecy become true? Mark intends to do all in his power to see that it doesn’t.

2. The Rag Dolly Returns (22 min)

United Kingdom, 2019 

Directed by Dean Midas, this thriller/horror shorts is set in the British Isles. It centers around a moviemaker’s attempt to investigate an old legend from Northumberland after a local family claims to have seen her. 

Setting out to try to get to the truth of the matter, Dean Midas quickly discovers that he is in above his head and is about to get a lot more than he bargained for.

The film has so far scored an impressive 7 out of 10 with Sofy.tv audiences.

3. Sugar (9 mins)

United States, 2019

This 9-minute horror short was directed by Chris R. Notarile. After two cops respond to a 911 call regarding an accident, they discover a woman called Bea at the incident site. The police officers very quickly start to realize that there is much more to this woman than they first thought.

5. Retch (13 mins)

United States, 2018 

This award-winning horror short directed by Tifa Tomb tells the story of a group of people who are left horrified after an unknown entity kills several travelers who found themselves stranded on a bus after it breaks down just outside of Seattle. 

The horror really ratches up after the passengers begin to discover that the killings have a deeper connection.

6. Postpartum (24 mins)

United States, 2016 

This dramatic U.S horror was directed by Richard Bakewell and won two awards on the international film festival circuit. 

The film’s story centers around a mother who has come to believe that her children are possessed. 

One day, she leaves the children in the care of a nanny to go shopping, only to return to find them all murdered. To her dismay, she is arrested for the crime and sent to prison for murdering them. It is not long until she discovers that she is pregnant and she begins having visions of her dead children.

United States, 2015 

The second short directed by Chris R. Notarile to make the best horror list, this great vampire flick certainly won’t disappoint lovers of the genre. 

Jack is an experienced vampire slayer who has put to the stake many a vampire in his time. However, one day when battling his arch-rival, a vampire called Monty, he gets bit and finds himself with just one more day before he becomes a vampire himself. 

This great vampire movie scored an impressive 8.5 out of 10 with Sofy.tv audiences.

8. Rudi (21 mins)

Italy, 2018 

A funny zombie movie directed by Lillo Venezia and Piernicola Arena, Rudi tells the unique tale of a zombie that is looking for redemption. After the zombie apocalypse is won by humans, the remaining zombies are offered a choice to be banished forever or to rehabilitate themselves so that they can return to society.

Rudi, one such zombie, is helped by Camilla on this journey of redemption, however, at the gates of the city, darkness is once again threatening humanity.

9. Pure O (20 mins)

Directed by W.M. Weikart, Pure O is the story of Purity Oglander, the singer of a Grunge band from the 90s who is trying to come to terms with Obsessive-compulsive disorder or OCD. The film follows his battle with this condition and the increasingly disturbing thoughts it provokes.
