SYNOPSIS: Co-hosts Tricia Downing and Nicole DeBoom examine the label of “disability” and what it means in our culture. Visible disabilities can have strong implications on how a person is perceived. While each of us has a unique story, unfortunately, through misinterpretation and bias, our stories can be devalued. As the saying goes, “you can’t judge a book by its cover.” The same holds true for anyone with a disability.
