SYNOPSIS: Scout Bassett shares how she was able to become a Paralympic athlete after a long and difficult journey from her native country of China. Even though Scout was adopted and brought to the United States, she grew up as the only person with a prosthetic limb in her county. Today, as a Paralympic athlete, Scout recognizes the importance of mentors and strives to be a role model for young female athletes with disabilities.
