A promising theme and a strong English seaside atmosphere don't quite compensate for a script which I feel wasn't quite ready to go.

While atmospheric and nicely shot - especially exteriors, the story suffers a little from a clunky script and a story that doesn't succeed in totally engaging us. It explores gritty themes while also showing that even at rock bottom people can find compassion.

Good film with a small gaps in story. Somewhat good acting provides insight into social interactions and instinct that most of the people lack, helping others. Especially strangers.
