SYNOPSIS: A 10-year-old girl child, Ammu, has her first encounter with patriarchy at the breakfast table when she hears her parents talking about a domestic staff's sister being thrown out of her house as she delivered a baby girl. This triggers questions and a sense of revolt in the 10-year old's mind. In the process, Ammu questions practices in her otherwise contemporary and progressive household and points out that patriarchy is so deep-rooted in the DNA.
