The second Canadian comedy to make this list is equally as funny and entertaining as the first. While not Christmas-themed, Must Kill Kart is the comedy that we can all relate to. Karl is the friend that you love to hate. His friends find him so annoying that they finally decide that they must kill Karl.

3. Time Slips Away (4 mins)

Ireland, 2001.

This poignant family drama was directed by Richard Keane. It won a total of 4 international awards and scored an impressive 7.5 out of 10 with Sofy.tv viewers.

The film is the heartfelt tale of an elderly couple who are trying to come to terms with the life that they have lived and about getting older. While not a lighthearted movie, this film is well crafted and very captivating.

6. The Best Customer (12 mins)

Romania, 2017.

This fun-packed animated crime story scored 7.9 out of 10 with Sofy.tv viewers.

Directed by Serghei Chiviriga, this 12 minute short tells the tale of a couple that runs a funeral home.

When, one day, an old man suspiciously orders 12 funerary wreaths for his family and friends, the couple decides that they must investigate to find out what the old man’s evil plans are.

7. Christmas Eve: Panic at the Poles (13 mins)

United States, 2016.

Christmas Eve: Panic at the Poles tells the behind-the-scenes story of Santa’s frustratingly busy time at the North Pole on Christmas Eve. Under enormous pressure, Santa even threatens to quit as he is about to have a total meltdown. The real hero of Christmas, a lady called Mrs. C. soon emerges to save Christmas for all of us.

8. The Apple (27 mins)

Belgium, 2017.

The longest short movie on this list at 27 minutes, The Apple was directed by Henry Disotuar.

The film tells the tale of a young boy called Danilo who is about to emigrate from his native Cuba with his mother. Shortly before he does, Danilo receives a green apple, a rare fruit that few have ever seen, let alone owned. Ecstatic, Danilo decides that his last act in Cuba will be to impress his school friends.

This touching movie won 10 international awards and is the most well-liked movie by Sofy.tv viewers on this list, scoring an incredible 8.8 out of 10.

The movie tells the tale of 4 old-age pensioners whose favorite TV soap opera is one day interrupted by an evil nurse who turns it off and confiscates the TV remote. Will the pensioners be able to get it back in time?
